Most toll free services require you to change your long distance carrier. TollFreeOnly is the best deal for toll free service to any number in the US that doesn't have any such requirements or restrictions.
It's also able to point to any local number, even numbers that other services can't. It's easy to set up and activate. Just fill out a simple one page online form and you're in business.
Why don't most companies offer Toll Free Only service?
Toll free service is generally considered a long distance product, but unfortunately other companies always consider it an add-on to regular long distance service and they don't offer it separately. Stand alone toll free service also has higher default rates as well. So many phone companies won't offer it. Most only say in the fine print that you are changing your long distance to their service.
What kind of number can this TollFreeOnly service point to?
Many toll free services can't point to cell phones, pagers, voicemail services etc. because of either the higher termination fees many of these services have or because there are many situations where you can't change the outbound long distance. Maybe you need or want to set up a toll free number that points to a phone number that's not in your name.
This is the best service for anyone with a smaller
local phone company
The very cheapest service, (like Airespring at
800Numbers.com) can't service customer of the smaller local phone
companies, because they charge higher "termination fees."
These are the per call fees that the local company charges the long
distance company for the "last mile" (bringing the call from the
local central office to your door). Sorry if that's confusing but
that's why the cheapest services can't cover some areas. This is the
cheapest toll free service that I've found that's willing to go to those
smaller local phone company areas from a good reseller.
This is also the best service for use with Flat Rate Long Distance Plans
With the increasing popularity of flat rate plans that include unlimited local and long distance service, people using these plans need a special service that does NOT change or affect their outbound long distance. This "toll free only" service is perfect for this plans. What can I do if I don't have good credit?
All phone companies have to do a credit check to set up a
new account for toll free service, except one or two that do prepaid
service.
If you have bad credit, you may not qualify for Toll Free Only here, but you can get a toll free service that similarly won't affect your long distance service and that doesn't require any credit check
with Instate800.com or International800.com. They'll give you a toll free number that you can prepay
or pre-approve with a credit card and it is only charged when your balance gets down to near zero.
What is the fastest way to get a toll free number?
It usually takes a week or so to go through credit, set up
a new account and activate a new toll free number. That is pretty much
standard for any regular long distance service and is hard to speed up
much. The only ones that speed this up much are the pre-paid credit
card services from Instate800.com and International800.com or a voicemail
services like SmartVoicemail.com or FreedomVoiceSystems.com. These 4
services usually set up toll free numbers within 1 business day.
You can also save a lot of money on International calls
with PNG's PowerDial!
PowerNet Global has another excellent service that'll
save you money on International calls. If you're getting a toll free
number from PowerNet Global here, all you need to do is tell them which
numbers you call from and they'll set up the power dial number for you.
Just like the TollFreeOnly service, this doesn't effect your local service
at all! This even works from cell phones which often have very high
international rates. So make sure you add your cell phone number to
your PowerDial list too. All your PowerDial calls will also count toward your $15
usage minimum to avoid the $2.50 monthly fee and it's very easy to
use.
All you need to do is list the phone numbers you call from
in the PowerDial portion of the signup. Then you just dial 1-888 30 30
730, the system
automatically recognizes your number and then you dial the number you're
calling. There's no pin numbers to dial
and you don't have to change your long distance service. Just dial the toll free access number and then you can call anywhere in the world for less!
Check out these excellent international rates:
• All you do is dial the
access number: 1-888-30.30.730
• The system recognizes the local phone number you
registered, so no PIN is
required
• Then you just dial the number you're calling and save!
